After the Miami Heat dismantled the New York Knicks in game 2 on Monday night, Jeff and I were making our way out of the arena when we saw the parents of murdered Miami teenager Trayvon Martin.
The Martins have been making the rounds across the state and country to drum up support for their son and his case. The killer, George Zimmerman was finally arrested and now awaits trial as he is home free on bond.
Trayvon wasn’t so lucky. He’s been buried 6 feet under for about a month and some days now.
The parents did get a chance to meet with some of the Heat players after the game. Remember the Miami Heat were the first “team” to make a statement publicly when they took a group photo wearing hoodies.
The family was kind enough to let us take a quick picture with them before leaving the arena.
