Marlins pursuit of free agent Cespedes in full stride

After an early off season spending spree that included landing Jose Reyes, Heath Bell and Mark Buehrle, the Miami Marlins are not done yet.

Yoenis Cespedes arrives at Miami Int'l

Wednesday they welcomed Yoenis Cespedes the hot shot outfielder to Miami to discuss signing the Cuban defector. He arrived at Miami International to cameras and reports asking him questions and taking his picture.

He spoke briefly with reporters when he arrived saying

“It would be good [to play here]. There are a lot of Cubans and they would support me a lot. Hopefully I can play for the Marlins.”

Well all you gotta do is sign on the dotted line homey!

The Marlins are aggressively going after Cespedes as are the White Sox, Tigers, and Cubs.
