For a brief moment in tonights game, one would have thought that the Bulls just simply said “f- – - it, let’s just get this over and go home.” It seemed so as the Miami Heat got out to a 22-8 lead in the first few minutes. But then the Chicago Bulls do what they’ve been doing all season and that’s fight back.
And fight they did, all the way until the final buzzer. Down by three, failed 3 point attempts by Nate Robinson, Jimmy Butler and Rip Hamilton sealed the fate for the scrappy walking dead team from the Windy City.
Heat 94 Bulls 91.
The Miami Heat now await the winner of the Pacers/Knicks series.
On tonights podcast we discuss the win, plus a look around the NBA.
The Miami Heat get another blow out win tonight versus a Chicago Bulls team that looks like their spirits have been broken. No Deng, no Heinrich and of course no Rose tonight, and again the Miami Heat takes advantage.
Even with the Heat a game away from going back to the Eastern Conference finals for a 3rd year in a row, the conversation today will once again be about how Dwyane Wade and his knee and his fashion choices continue to baffle Heat fans.
We discuss that topic plus we talk with Mike Wallace of ESPN.com.
Freeman and Fox discuss Floyd Mayweather’s place in boxing history, the NBA playoffs and more. Plus David J. Neal of the Miami Herald joins us!
On today’s episode, we discuss the news that rocked the NBA world over night, as Kobe Bryant will be out for the remainder of the season due an achilles tear. Is he done? Will he retire? Will he come back? We also discuss the controversy at the Masters, as Tiger Woods gets 2 stroke penalty. Today’s show is a must listen!
The Heat beat up on the Wizards tonight as the “Fighting Clowns” got it done without Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem.
We talk about the game, the NBA outlook, plus athletes who were at the end of their career and how they looked playing in that other uniform. Farve with the Vikings, Emmitt with the Cardinals, and Ewing with the SuperSonics! Take a listen!
The NBA Finals brings out the athletes, stars and all sorts of celebrities. With the series moving to Miami, the stars have come out of their hiding. I mean really…other than Lil Wayne, who wants to go to Oklahoma City?
While Big Shaq was working on NBA TV, his darling Nikki Hoopz was court side supporting her man as he worked. She was very gracious in taking some pics with the guys.
Oh..by the way, Nikki and I go back a few years. When I was doing radio in another market, she hosted a party. This was when she was fresh off of her win on the Flavor Flav reality show. She did remember the me, and as you can see by the pic, we had a blast at the party. Don’t worry Shaq…this was way before you;)
If I were an NBA analyst, I would hope and pray that Miami would be in the Finals every year. Who would get mad at spending a few days in the sun and fun of South Beach, and work and the same (damn) time?
Don’t be fooled. Even though some of the analyst are looked upon as “Heat Haters”, they definitely don’t hate the city and the sights and sounds that the 305 has to offer. They were out in full force on Sunday, and will be enjoying the next few days as the Heat and Thunder continue the series.
Here are some of the people we caught up with.
