As a rookie in the NFL trying to make a team, you can’t have anything slow you down. Contract negotiations or injuries can be the death of a new career.

Olivier Vernon didn’t have contract issues like his fellow rookie Ryan Tannehill, but he did suffer a little boo boo at Dolphins practice today.

Vernon suffered the tweak of the ankle when he was trying to strip the ball from fellow rookie Lamar Miller. He fell to the ground in pain. He did however return to the field about 30 minutes later to resume practice.
