A Magical Night In Miami Canes Romp 41-8 Over Irish
For the first time that i can ever remember. Hard Rock Stadium felt just like the Orange Bowl. The building shook, literally. The Miami Hurricanes have announced their return to college football’s elite with a resounding, old school beat down of historic rival Notre Dame 41-8. Oh how sweet it is ! This one felt really, really good.
Channel 10’s Will Manso said it best. The Canes were meaner, nastier, hungrier, faster and swarming all night long. All i want to ask myself is how BAD was Al Golden ? This return to glory has been orchestrated by a true Miami Hurricane, head coach Mark Richt.
The building was rocking since the tailgate in the parking lot, a sold out stadium, Canes legends were every where up and down the sidelines and Miami punched Notre Dame in the mouth. Hard.
“This to me is the natural order restored,” UM defensive coordinator Manny Diaz said afterwards . “This is the way a Saturday night in Miami should be.”
Miami clinched the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Coastal Division title even before the game kicked off, earning a spot in the ACC championship game against defending national champ Clemson. Next up on the national Pay Back Tour.
This game felt like a rock concert . The Canes defense appeared to be inspired by the presence of all time great Ed Reed and a host of Canes legends . The Turnover Chain was popping all over the place. The Canes forced three interceptions with one returned for a touchdown and a fumble recovery . Miami was too fast for the Irish, the crowd was too loud, and South Florida waited too long for a night like this.
