Just Win Baby No.8 Canes Get Another Nail Biter
Well Coach Mark Richt’s Cardiac Kids are at it again.
For the third straight week the Miami Hurricanes had everyone’s heartbeat racing as the Canes used a game sealing TD run by Travis Homer to outlast Syracuse 27-19 on Saturday evening at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Canes (6-0, 3-0 ACC) have had a flair for the dramatic lately and the trend continued against the Orangemen.
Next up a trip to Chapel Hill to take on woeful North Carolina (1-7, 0-6) but do not take anything for granted Miami has a knack for making things interesting it seems no matter the opponent.
“We found another way to make it really exciting,” Head Coach Mark Richt said. “A part of the reason was Syracuse is a really good football team. They are a better team than what they were a year ago. For some reason, we can’t find a way to play really good on both sides of the ball at the same time. We kind of take turns. It would be nice to be more consistent.”
They better get a whole lot better really quick as the competition intensifies in the coming weeks with Virginia Tech (Nov. 4) and Notre Dame (Nov. 11) on the docket. Miami cannot expect to keep pulling out miracle wins. Bottom line they are the sole undefeated team in the ACC.
