Heat Shoot Lights Out Beats Chicago As Whiteside Dominates

The Heat was on fire last night at the American Airlines Arena. It was the best shooting night in franchise history, an effort not seen in the NBA  in the last 18 years. Who were those guys ?

Miami shot 67.5 percent,  that was NOT a misprint and they set a season high for points on their way to smoking the Chicago Bulls 129-111 on Tuesday night. Especially impressive was the big man Hassan Whiteside who continues to dominate with a career-high 26 points and  14 rebounds, newcomer Joe Johnson chipped in with 24 points in his Miami home debut.

Miami’s 52-for-77 shooting was the best in the NBA since the Utah Jazz did it on Feb. 27, 2010. Miami looked like a well oiled machine last night. You can see the confidence growing in this team. Landing Joe Johnson, yes him, could be very significant as we head down the playoff stretch. The Eastern Conference may have a problem that really nobody anticipated. The Miami Heat.
