Ex Raiders coach Jackson can help Fins

Former Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson is expected in South Florida sometime this week to interview for the offensive co ordinator position with your Miami Dolphins. Just a word to the wise, the fins need to snatch Jackson up, he will not be unemployed very long.

Prior to Jackson joining then head coach Tom Cable’s staff the raiders had one of the NFL’s worst offenses. They struggled to score averaging well under 20 points per game, Jackson engineered a remarkable turnaround that saw the Raiders finish in the top ten offensively in Cable’s final season in Oakland. Late owner Al Davis was so impressed, he dismissed Cable who had coached the raiders to a respectable 8-8 record and promoted Jackson to head Coach. Trust me it is only because Marc Davis is calling the shots now that Jackson was fired, Al Davis was very high on Hue Jackson and so should everyone else. He is a daring coach and a brilliant play caller with a propensity to call trick plays at just the right moments. The raiders made a huge mistake I think in letting Jackson go, this guy has a bright future in the NFL. The dolphins should let that bright future begin right here in South Florida.
