Final- Heat 99 76ers 79

The Miami Heat bounce back Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center to beat the up and coming Philadelphia 76ers 99-79 in front of the Sixers first sell out crowd of the year.

The win was the Heat’s second over the 76ers in 10 days, and the 17th of the year. The win also gave the Heat sole possession of 2nd place in the Eastern Conference behind Chicago.

Miami was led by Dwyane Wade who had 26 points on 10 of 20 shots. Lebron James flirted with another triple double as he finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Chris Bosh had a quiet 12 points and 5 rebounds.

The Sixers who have slightly surprised a lot of people this year were led by Thaddeus Young who had 16 points off the . Andre Iguodala poured in 10 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Elton Brand and Tony Battie were the lone starters with no points.

The Doug Collins coached group have impressed thus far this season, but the defense and the athleticism of the Miami Heat looked to be too much for them down the stretch. After the Heat started the 3rd quarter going 0-10 from the field, the defense started to clamp down on the young 76ers and the shots started to fall. Once Udonis Haslem hit a few jumpers in the 4th, the sell out crowd soon became the leave early crowd.

Next up for the Heat are the Toronto Raptors. That’s Game.
