Dwyane Wade is ballin’ amidst family troubles

I had no idea when I asked Dwyane Wade after the game on Sunday, Fathers day, that about 24 hours earlier he probably had his stomach in knots, not knowing where the hell he kids were. I’ll get to what he said that was very poignant in the video in just a minute, but let’s recap.

Apparently Dwyane’s boys Zion and Zaire were with their mother in Chicago for sometime last week. On Saturday afternoon, Wade’s sister Tragil went to the home of Siovaughn Funches-Wade to pick up the boys for a 3:05 flight. After getting no answer for a few hours, police were called to the residence.

Siovaughn tried to leave the residence without the boys when she was about to be taken into custody. Funches-Wade was charged with two counts of attempted child abduction, two counts of unlawful visitation interference and one count of resisting arrest.¬†Another woman who was at the home, was charged with resisting arrest. Wade’s son also claimed that the woman, Nadege Alarcon, slapped him on his head and was verbally abusive to him and his brother.

Funches-Wade was charged released on $10,000 bail and later went to the hospital with complaints of shortness of breath, possibly from an asthma attack.

Wade hired a private jet to bring the boys back and they were with him on Sunday morning by 6am.

Which brings me to how he performed in game 1. 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assist. Not very much like a man who was worried a few hours before about his kids.

Finally his response to my question when I asked him, “What did his boys get him for fathers day?”. The answer says a lot, considering what he had been through.

  1. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
