With the Denver Broncos losing Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to the Texans, losing CJ Anderson would have been the proverbial nail in their offensive coffin.
So when Anderson and his agent began shopping around for teams that would be well suited for his services, it only made sense that he would get a good look from his former OC, now head coach Adam Gase.
And the Dolphins went all in offering Anderson a front loaded four year $18 million dollar deal. The Broncos had 5 days to match it. And they did it on Tuesday.

Seems that the Broncos brass was pretty happy about it as well.
Just got off the phone w/CJ & let him know we're excited to match the offer sheet. We have high expectations for CJ and are glad he's back!

I was listening to the HCK show on WQAM as the news broke. Host Marc Hochman was not happy about it, calling Denver coach Gary Kubiak “an S.O.B.” about 3 times in 30 seconds. You can check the audio here
Anderson seemed grateful to the Dolphins for the offer, and he should be. If it wasn’t for the Phins, the Broncos would’ve probably gave him a subpar deal.
I do want to thank the Miami Dolphins for bringing me in I believe in Gase he will get it done good luck Goose
