NFL legend Dan Marino adds name to list of former players filing suit for concussions

There have been 4,800 names of former NFL players that have submitted their names as plaintiffs in a concussion lawsuit against the NFL.

One more name added to the list probably trumps all the others.

Dan Marino.

The Hall of Fame quarterback added his name filed suit in a Philadelphia court, alleging that the NFL “concealed information about football-related brain injuries.”

The trend of former players suing the NFL for damages has been kind of disturbing to me. Not from the standpoint of guys who may be broke or downtrodden trying to get money, but from the standpoint of these guys not knowing or acting as if they don’t know what they signed up for in playing this sport.

It’s one thing if the NFL withheld information from these players in regards to how the hits they were getting week in and week out were affecting their bodies. The trend of suing this former employer for not informing players of “damages” seems to be getting old, and rather quickly.

Don’t be surprised if pretty soon, draft picks will have to sign waivers right after signing their contracts.

Sports Bros Stephen Ross

Statement from Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross

“I have made clear I want the stadium modernized because it’s right for our fans and it’s right for Miami-Dade and South Florida. I have decided the best way to get this done is to pay for the project with private funds. All we ask in return is that we are treated the same as all franchises in the state of Florida. A world-class city needs a world-class stadium. Read the rest of this entry »
