Derrick Rose Will Not Help Recruit Carmelo Anthony

rose1
Chicago Bulls former all star and former league MVP Derrick Rose will not recruit Carmelo Anthony or any star that is a free agent come Tuesday July 1.
Seems that Derrick is quite fine in the role of player and only that, as he says “it’s not his job” to recruit players to the Bulls.

“My thing is if they want to come, they can come,” Rose said.”I love Melo’s game,” Rose said. “He’s a great player. Takes the game serious. He’s consistent. He shoots the ball great. I love his heart.
“I can play with anybody, no matter who it is. I believe I can play with anyone if they step on the court with me.”

I’m not sure what to take from this. Does Rose have a point? Should he leave that totally up to management? Or should he at least be willing to talk to potential free agents interested in coming to Chicago? Just earlier this season, we heard of his team mate Joakim Noah pitching Carmelo at the All Star game.

Whichever you think right, Rose is definitely a different type of cat. One who marches to the beat of his own drum for sure.

Official Statement From Pat Riley On Lebron James

“I was informed this morning of his intentions. We fully expected LeBron to opt-out and exercise his free agent rights, so this does not come as a surprise. As I said at the press conference last week, players have a right to free agency and when they have these opportunities, the right to explore their options. The last four seasons have been historic and LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Erik Spoelstra have led the Miami HEAT to one of the most unprecedented runs in the history of the NBA. We look forward to sitting down with LeBron and his representatives and talking about our future together. At the moment, we are preparing for the opportunities in the Draft and Free Agency as we continue with our goal of winning NBA Championships.”

Lebron James and Dwyane Wade’s answer to being labeled “lackluster” (video)

The Miami Heat lost to the San Antonio Spurs 111-92 in game 3 of the NBA Finals. From the onset, the Spurs came out the more aggressive, more energetic team on Tuesday night.

With the lead ballooning to as much as 25 at one point, the Heat could only get as close as 7 points. San Antonio’s offense was operating on all cylinders, never once stalling as they pretty much sat in fifth gear all night.

During the post game press conference, someone asked a question of Lebron and Dwyane that didn’t go over well, and the reaction from the Heat superstars, was, well you check it out for yourself.
