#NBAFreeAgency- Josh McRoberts Agrees To 4yr Deal With Miami Heat

A domino has fallen in the free agency fiasco that has engulfed the Miami Heat since July 1st.

Signing Josh McRoberts to a 4 year $23 million deal, and assuming the Heat return with Bosh-Wade-James, gives the core of this team a pretty solid interior and an upgrade from last year.

Some may see this signing as an overpay for an average player, but I argue that that remains to be seen in an Eric Spoelstra system, granted with the Big 3 and other pieces in tow.

Stay tuned…

Kevin Durant’s Late Night Twitter Q&A

@KDTrey5 took to Twitter last night to answer some questions from his followers. Interesting time to decide to do this KD.
Maybe he was little jealous of all of the attention that is being put on NBA Free Agency, which he is not a part of this year.
Here are some of the questions and answers.

Fake Adrian Wojnarowski Account Fools Many

Some people have entirely too much time on their hands.

Fake accounts of celebrities and personalities are popular on Twitter, and a fake account channeling one of the best reporters in the business is not invincible either.

Check out some of the postings by @WojoYahooNBA last night on one of the most important and most watched nights of the NBA off season. Read the rest of this entry »

Derrick Rose Will Not Help Recruit Carmelo Anthony

rose1
Chicago Bulls former all star and former league MVP Derrick Rose will not recruit Carmelo Anthony or any star that is a free agent come Tuesday July 1.
Seems that Derrick is quite fine in the role of player and only that, as he says “it’s not his job” to recruit players to the Bulls.

“My thing is if they want to come, they can come,” Rose said.”I love Melo’s game,” Rose said. “He’s a great player. Takes the game serious. He’s consistent. He shoots the ball great. I love his heart.
“I can play with anybody, no matter who it is. I believe I can play with anyone if they step on the court with me.”

I’m not sure what to take from this. Does Rose have a point? Should he leave that totally up to management? Or should he at least be willing to talk to potential free agents interested in coming to Chicago? Just earlier this season, we heard of his team mate Joakim Noah pitching Carmelo at the All Star game.

Whichever you think right, Rose is definitely a different type of cat. One who marches to the beat of his own drum for sure.

Official Statement From Pat Riley On Lebron James

“I was informed this morning of his intentions. We fully expected LeBron to opt-out and exercise his free agent rights, so this does not come as a surprise. As I said at the press conference last week, players have a right to free agency and when they have these opportunities, the right to explore their options. The last four seasons have been historic and LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Erik Spoelstra have led the Miami HEAT to one of the most unprecedented runs in the history of the NBA. We look forward to sitting down with LeBron and his representatives and talking about our future together. At the moment, we are preparing for the opportunities in the Draft and Free Agency as we continue with our goal of winning NBA Championships.”

Lebron James and Dwyane Wade’s answer to being labeled “lackluster” (video)

The Miami Heat lost to the San Antonio Spurs 111-92 in game 3 of the NBA Finals. From the onset, the Spurs came out the more aggressive, more energetic team on Tuesday night.

With the lead ballooning to as much as 25 at one point, the Heat could only get as close as 7 points. San Antonio’s offense was operating on all cylinders, never once stalling as they pretty much sat in fifth gear all night.

During the post game press conference, someone asked a question of Lebron and Dwyane that didn’t go over well, and the reaction from the Heat superstars, was, well you check it out for yourself.
