Bahamas Hurricane Relief Effort Underway In South Florida

The Sports Brothers Radio Show is doing what we must to support our brothers and sisters in the Bahamas affected by the recent devastation of Hurricane Joaquin. Massive efforts are underway throughout the United States to offer assistance to our island neighbors. As for South Florida with it’s large Bahamian population we are no exception.

The Progressive Liberal Party has re-activated it’s Disaster Relief Committee that has ably assisted affected islands on previous occasions. The goal is to ensure a fair and even distribution of funds and supplies to all persons in need. They are currently working to assess those needs and will travel to affected areas as soon as conditions permit to view first hand.

We have been in contact with Laser International Freight Transport to set up a collection point for shipping to Nassau. Donated items can be addressed as follows:-

Central & Southern Bahamas Disaster Relief
c/o PLP Disaster Relief Committee,
Laser Int. Frt. Transport,
3218 NW North River Drive,
Miami, Fl 33142

305-633-4274
